We're looking for DV Cleared Infrastructure Engineers to join an exciting new programme supporting highly secure, mission-critical systems. If you're passionate about infrastructure, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and want to play a key role in keeping essential services running, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
You'll join a close-knit team operating at the heart of a secure environment, helping to maintain, support, and continuously improve critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on role where you'll investigate technical issues, drive operational excellence, and contribute to services that make a real impact.
Working onsite in Portsmouth, you'll be surrounded by talented colleagues who genuinely collaborate, share knowledge, and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
As part of a 24/7 support team, you'll help ensure the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical applications and infrastructure while contributing to service improvements, project work, testing activities, and operational development.
Training & Location
For your first six months, you'll complete a structured training programme based in Hemel Hempstead, attending the office 1-2 days per week and working remotely for the remainder. Once training is complete, you'll transition permanently to our Portsmouth site, where the role is fully onsite.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting and managing core infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and operating systems.
- Managing incidents, problems, requests, and changes within an ITIL-aligned environment.
- Investigating and resolving technical issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving service improvements.
- Monitoring live services to ensure performance, availability, and resilience.
- Supporting project delivery, testing, implementation, and release activities.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems, services, and processes.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in infrastructure support, systems administration, or technical operations.
- Strong Wintel experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices.
- Experience working within structured operational environments.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
- Current DV Clearance.
