Junior Automation Developer

Are you passionate about automation and ready to take your skills to the next level? We’re looking for a Junior Automation Developer to join our growing team, where you’ll work with industry-leading tools like UIPath to help deliver smarter, faster, and more efficient digital solutions.

As our new Automation Developer, you’ll be hands-on with automation technologies, supporting the design, development, and deployment of automated processes across a variety of projects. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced developers and project leads, gaining exposure to real-world use cases and best practices.

This is a Hybrid working role where you will based two days a week onsite at either our Newcastle or Newport SSCL Centre of Excellence.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build and maintain automation workflows using UIPath.
  • Execute defined technical and operational tasks within the automation team.
  • Respond to routine support queries and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Follow standard procedures and contribute to accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients on automation initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Support bid teams with technical input for proposals when required.

What you’ll bring:

  • Solid understanding of automation principles and development practices.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one automation platform
  • Familiarity with automation governance, change control, and deployment processes.
  • Ability to translate business and functional requirements into scalable automation solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A Level (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.

It would be great if you had:

  • Oracle Fusion and or Oracle E-Business Suite experience
  • Certification in UIPath
  • Project Management experience - Understand Full Project Life Cycle (Studied Lean Six Sigma)
