Senior Software Engineer

We have a fantastic piece of work on where we provide SharePoint development services, delivering into highly secure UK clients. Now rapidly growing our SharePoint team, we are looking for strong Coding and Administration experience, to provide software development skills at a subsystem level and work as part of a team. Take ownership to specify, develop and test the sub-system; and be responsible for varying specialist services which involve the choice and application of diverse processes, systems and techniques.
Office based in Farnborough.
SC Cleared or eligible for SC.
What you'll be doing:
  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining SharePoint solutions.
  • Creating and configuring SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and web parts.
  • Developing custom forms and templates using tools such as InfoPath and SharePoint Designer.
  • Providing technical support for SharePoint users.
  • Maintaining SharePoint security and access controls including fine-grained security (FGS) permissions.
  • Monitoring SharePoint performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Managing SharePoint infrastructure throughout the life of the capability, including maintaining patch / updates.
  • Recovering the SharePoint services in the event of planned or unplanned outages.
  • Experience of working with tooling.
  • Produce software component designs and specifications.
  • Create test data and testing environments for unit and link testing.
What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in SharePoint development (Online and/or On-Premise).
  • Focus on Back end SharePoint development.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint , administration, and coding.
  • Experience developing with: SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
  • Advanced SharePoint automation techniques for the Automation of new SharePoint instances.
  • REST APIs and Microsoft Graph.
  • Knowledge of Azure AD integration, permissions, and authentication models.
  • Understanding of information governance, document management, and metadata design.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps delivery practices.
  • Ability to produce clear documentation, including technical designs and release notes.
