Sorted Food is an online food movement and global community on a mission to become the world’s most influential and impactful food entertainment brand. Over the last 16 years, we’ve built a community of more than 3 million people who connect, laugh and learn through a shared love of brilliant food. Today, over 400,000 people engage with our content daily, spending an average of 14 minutes with us.
‘Sidekick’ is our subscription-based meal-planning app that helps users decide what to cook each week with curated recipe packs, guided cooking, and smart shopping lists. It focuses on reducing food waste by linking recipes together so ingredients are used across multiple meals. Everything related to the app, including tech development, recipe writing, testing and photography is handled in-house.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a highly motivated and capable all-rounder with experience of managing a consumer app, who enjoys being hands-on and a important part of a small but highly capable team. Given the last 6+ years work and investment into Sidekick, all the ingredients are there to make the app a massive success, so an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of ownership will play a key part in the role. A passion for food and social media marketing would be a huge advantage.
What we’re looking for
- A creative mindset with a track record of driving customer growth and retention through innovative marketing strategies
- Comfortable working cross-functionally across product, content, marketing and operations in a fast-paced environment
- An eye for detail, a confident writer with text editing skills, and a genuine interest in cooking and recipes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to align stakeholders and balance competing priorities in a small team
- Strong grasp of product analytics and user behaviour tools (e.g. Amplitude or similar), with confidence using data to drive decisions
- Proven ability to own a product roadmap and deliver features end-to-end with engineering teams
- Strong understanding of user journeys, UX principles, and how to reduce friction in digital experiences
- Experience running or interpreting user research and turning insights into clear product actions
Nice to have
- Experience in food, recipe, lifestyle, media or subscription-based apps
- Exposure to content operations or CMS-driven products
- Experience working in high-ownership, small-team environments where roles are fluid and priorities may change
This role will be based out of our studio near Old Street in London.
