Service Desk Engineer
Ou r client based in Bracknell is seeking a Service Desk Engineer to join its team based in Bracknell.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused approach, and an interest in technology. Full training will be provided, making the role suitable for both experienced engineers looking for an office-based position and individuals at the start of their technical career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support and fault diagnosis.
- Log, prioritise, and manage incidents and service requests.
- Escalate complex issues to specialist teams where required.
- Coordinate engineers and resources to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Keep customers and internal stakeholders updated on progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Skills required:
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good understanding of Windows operating systems.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
- Experience in a service desk, helpdesk, or technical support role.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and remote support tools.
- Experience coordinating engineers, technicians, or field-based teams.
- Understanding of basic networking principles.
The role is paying £26-£28k DOE with free onsite parking.
