Warehouse Operative / Driver – Permanent
Location: Colnbrook, Slough
Salary: £26,000 - £29,500 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 11:30am – 8:30pm
Permanent | Full-Time
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Warehouse Operative / Driver to join their busy and growing logistics operation based in Colnbrook. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse experience, a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence, and a full UK driving licence who is looking for a long-term, permanent position.
This is a varied role, combining warehouse duties with local collections and deliveries using a company vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch.
- Receiving and checking inbound deliveries.
- Organising stock and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Using warehouse IT systems to process shipments.
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift.
- Completing local collections and deliveries in a company van.
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
- Working closely with the operations team to meet daily deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Good IT skills and confidence using warehouse systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties.
- Able to provide a full 5-year checkable employment history and successfully pass a DBS check.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within freight forwarding, logistics or air cargo.
- Knowledge of warehouse scanning systems.
- Experience handling import and export shipments.
