Digital and Print Room Apprentice
Role
- You will work closely with the Reprographics team and wider IT Team to ensure continuity and quality of service of reprographics.
We recognise that job descriptions are not always helpful in describing roles in what needs to be a flexible and responsive service, but in the first instance you will be expected to:
· Assist Colleagues accessing reprographics services
· Use a range of software tools to produce high quality print resources
· Monitor workflow and utilise booking systems to manage bookings
· Utilise a range of specialist print production equipment
· Provide advice and guidance on print quality, process and materials
· Work closely with the Reprographics team to ensure that printed resources are produced quickly and efficiently
· Provide face to face service for staff using reprographics services
· Undertake any other duties within the grade as required by the college
· Support the reprographics team with the servicing of equipment
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with internal and external quality standards and contribute to the College’s strategic aims.
- Comply with college policies and procedures and health and safety regulations.
- Support the safeguarding and promotion of students’ welfare.
- Maintain confidentiality in relation to all College information and to comply with Data Protection Legislation.
- Participate in the College’s Appraisal scheme and undertake any training as required.
- Support and actively participate in the implementation of the College’s Equal Opportunity policies.
Training
At the end of your apprenticeship you will recieve the Print Technician Level 3 qualification.
This will be on a day release from our Digbeth or Bordseley Green Campus - To be Confirmed
If required you will be able to complete your Level 2 in Functional Skills English/Maths.
After successful completion of your apprenticeship there may be opportunity for a full time position.
