Job summary
We are seeking an Information Assistant to join our Business Intelligence Team within the Performance and Information Management service. The Directorate oversees the full information lifecycle, from data extraction, transformation and load, quality assurance and governance through to analysis, reporting and insight. Together, our teams support both local operational priorities and national NHS reporting requirements, ensuring that high-quality information is available to inform decision-making, service improvement and the delivery of safe patient care.
The Information Assistant plays an important role in supporting the effective delivery of trusted information, reporting and analytical support to clinical, operational and corporate services across the organisation. Working closely with analysts, managers and stakeholders across the Trust, you will help ensure that information requests are managed efficiently, reporting systems are maintained, and information governance requirements are met. The information and insights we produce helps support organisational decision-making, performance management, service improvement and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main duties of the job
You will provide support to the Business Intelligence Team, helping to ensure that high-quality information is available to support decision-making across the Trust. You will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring information requests, maintaining team workload logs, and helping to ensure that requests are allocated and completed in a timely manner. You will also support the management of Freedom of Information requests and act as a key point of contact for colleagues seeking information.
A significant part of the role involves supporting the administration and maintenance of the Trust's reporting systems, you will help maintain report catalogues and associated metadata, ensuring staff can easily locate and access trusted information products.
Working closely with stakeholders across the Trust, you will support the production and maintenance of routine reports and information products, and contribute to ensuring information is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose. To provide efficient, effective and timely support to ensure the appropriate provision of information and analysis to our internal and external services. This includes the provision and maintenance of internal information reports, updating and maintaining our information governance requirements, overseeing Power BI accessibility, as well as GDPR Safe haven and Cyber Security protocols for all datasets and regular reporting.

Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs Grade A-C (level 2) including Maths and English
- Microsoft Office training including Excel, Access & Word

- Understanding of IM&T Security and Data Protection

Experience
- Experience of working in a data/Information Management
- setting or equivalent setting or working with data within

- Experience of working in an NHS organisation.
- Experience of the Meditech Patient Administration System.
Physical skills
- Ability to sit at workstation and use PC for extended periods of time.
- Moving and handling best practice in relating to sitting at a workstation.
- Requirement to concentrate for long periods of time on specific tasks in order to meet deadlines.
