This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Digital and Technology Services department at South West Yorkshire Partnership Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a well-organised and enthusiastic individual to be proactive at assisting the team.
The ICT Service Operations Administrator will be responsible for providing IT access to staff across the organisation and maintaining access security.
The successful candidate will ideally have previously worked in an IT environment and skills should include knowledge of Microsoft Office products and an interest in problem solving, with a can-do attitude.
A basic knowledge and awareness of Microsoft Active Directory would be beneficial, although full on the job training will be provided.

Main duties of the job
The postholder is responsible for the day-to-day creation and amendment of IT network accounts. This will include providing staff access to network folders, creating email accounts, access to shared mailboxes, VPN access, allocating stock to individuals etc.
Full on the job training will be provided to the successful candidate, however candidates should ideally have experience of working in an IT environment and have skills in Microsoft Office and an interest in problem solving.
Assigned work will primarily be assigned via a ticket management system to help manage workloads and record the history of the ticket.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for assigning tickets to our third-party IT provider for assets such as laptops, desktops, monitors etc.

JOB SUMMARY
To assist and support in the smooth running of an effective IM&T Service Operations Team.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
To support the IM&T Service Operations Team in delivering the defined service provision.
- Provide first line support including incident/problem identification, resolution and escalation in line with local Service Level Agreements.
- Overcoming technical barriers in communication to record the nature of the problem effectively.
- Accurately recording problems on the Service Desk system.
- Assist end users with password resets, create/amend user accounts and issue memory sticks.
- Monitor problems and suggest solutions to the relevant system manager.
- To establish and maintain effective communication with service groups, acting as their point of contact for information system issues.
- Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive procedure notes for all functions associated with the ICT Service Operations team and IM&T support and assist in streamlining processes where required.
- General administrative duties as required, including post collection/distribution, filing and faxing.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
- Daily communications with Trust services and staff.
- Regular support/liaison with service staff.

- System Suppliers re support calls.
- Connecting for Health Service Desk.

Qualifications
- Good secondary education with minimum of 5 GCEs including Maths & English.
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Working on deadlines under pressure with accuracy.
- Computer keyboard and software skills/knowledge.

Experience
- An understanding of the requirements for patient confidentiality and information security.
