High Integrity Embedded Software Engineer

We're working with an innovative technology business developing advanced embedded software for intelligent, highly regulated systems.

This is an opportunity to join a growing engineering team working on next-generation control and assurance technology used within complex embedded environments. The software you'll develop will form part of a platform designed to improve reliability, resilience and operational safety in mission-critical applications.

The role

You'll be responsible for designing and developing embedded software, working closely with systems and verification engineers throughout the full development lifecycle.

You'll contribute to software architecture, integration and testing while helping build highly reliable solutions capable of operating within demanding regulated environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop embedded software for high-integrity systems
  • Develop software for real-time and embedded platforms
  • Support software architecture and technical design
  • Work closely with verification engineers throughout development
  • Contribute to software quality and assurance activities
  • Support integration and deployment
  • Produce clear technical documentation
Experience required
  • Strong embedded software engineering background
  • Commercial experience with C, C++, Ada or similar
  • Experience developing software within regulated or safety-critical environments
  • Real-time or embedded systems experience
  • Understanding of software testing and verification
Desirable
  • Experience working within recognised safety-critical software standards
  • Aerospace, defence, robotics or advanced engineering
  • Embedded control systems
  • ROS, ROS2, PX4, MAVLink, ArduPilot or similar
  • Formal methods or model-based development
