Data and Insight Analyst
The role
Southwark Council is strengthening its ability to use data to understand complex issues, improve services and support better decision making.
The Data, Performance and Insight team, within Strategy, Insight and Performance, provides analysis and performance reporting that informs strategic planning and service improvement across the council.
We are looking for a Data and Insight Analyst to support analytical work across the organisation.
What you'll be doing:
- Analyse data to support service improvement and policy development.
- Produce reports, dashboards and visualisations that communicate key insights.
- Support the development of the council’s data infrastructure and analytical tools.
- Work with services to understand analytical requirements.
- Contribute to corporate reporting and insight products.
What we're looking for:
- Experience analysing and interpreting data.
- Familiarity with analytical tools and data visualisation.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate findings clearly.
- An interest in using data to improve public services

Additional details
Full time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with time split between working from home and our Tooley Street offices.
Due to the level of interest in this role, you will be asked in your application if you have specific experience of data and insight analysis in local government and if so, expected to demonstrate how this informs your suitability in your application.
