The Data, Performance and Insight team, within Strategy, Insight and Performance, leads the council’s work to develop robust corporate performance reporting and advanced data analysis. The team works closely with Members, senior officers and services to translate data into insight that supports effective decision making.
We are looking for a Senior Data & Insight Analyst to lead analytical work across key council priorities.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role you will:
• Lead complex data analysis to support strategic decision making and service improvement.
• Develop reports and analytical products that provide clear insight for actionable change.
• Work with services to understand analytical needs and identify opportunities to use data more effectively.
• Use modern analytical tools and methods to support data-driven decision making.
• Communicate findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Support the development of the council’s analytical capability.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who has:
• Strong experience in data analysis and insight generation.
• Experience working with large datasets and analytical tools.
• The ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
