Full Stack Engineer
A well-funded, early-stage regtech startup on a mission to transform compliance for banks and fintechs is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help shape their platform from the ground up. You'll be working at the intersection of microservices architecture, AI-powered tooling, and real regulatory problems - with the kind of ownership and influence that only comes with joining early. If you want to build something that matters, with a team that cares deeply about craft and speed, this is worth a look.
Company Culture:
- Speed comes from quality, automation, and solving the right problems - not cutting corners
- "If you build it, you fix it" - end-to-end ownership is baked into how the team operates
- Clarity, transparency, and craftsmanship are core values, not just words on a wall
- Creative use of AI is encouraged across the product and in how the team works day-to-day
- Trust-first environment - ask for help early, leave things better than you found them
- London office as a collaboration hub, with genuine flexibility for remote and non-UK candidates
What's on Offer:
- Salary between £90,000 and £110,000; tailored, with flexibility.
- Flexible hybrid working (1 day in London, or fully remote if necessary)
- Significant influence over technical and product direction
- Direct collaboration with founders and senior leadership
- Top-tier tooling and access to the latest AI resources
- Continuous learning and ongoing training as a genuine priority
What You'll Be Doing:
- Owning the quality, speed, and reliability of a microservices architecture end-to-end
- Simplifying user journeys and optimising microservices workflows across the platform
- Extending the domain model into a knowledge graph
- Designing and building distributed systems using event sourcing and an API-first approach
- Deploying microservices multiple times per day within a mature CI/CD culture
- Working directly with customers to close feedback loops and inform product direction
- Automating everything - from infrastructure to testing and deployment pipelines
- Expanding into Python and AI tooling as the platform evolves
What We're Looking For:
