Test Manager
This is a 4-Month Fixed Term Contract, which requires 2-3 days per week onsite in Cardiff.
Sparta Global are looking for a test manager to be accountable for test delivery across projects, maintaining quality and efficiency throughout the test lifecycle. This person will coach teams and stakeholders to improve ways of working and keep quality at the forefront.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for leading and managing testing within a product or project team, with full responsibility for all test phases and the planning and tracking of delivery dates.
- Lead and maintain effective communication with your team, the Head of Test and senior stakeholders to support informed decision-making and integration.
- Coordinate manual and automated testing activities with other test teams and stakeholders to support successful delivery across governance and delivery models.
- Provide line management, professional guidance, and coaching for a QA team, ensuring development is planned and managed in line with company policies to achieve business objectives.
- Manage third-party relationships by identifying and controlling dependencies, ensuring agreed test deliverables are achieved efficiently and without unnecessary cost or delay.
- Ensure customer issues are appropriately prioritised and planned for within solution designs, in line with the client’s Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly policies.
Experience Required:
- Strong experience of test management and strategy
- Experience in leading test across multiple Development methodologies (V-Model, Agile, SAFe, Waterfall)
- Experience in both BAU and Project Test delivery
- Experience using Test Management tools to manage test execution and reporting specifically JIRA and XRay plugins.
Leadership Experience:
- Experience of leading a QA/test team is essential
- Able to demonstrate supportive, communicative, and collaborative approach to working in a team
- Previous team leadership, coaching or people management experience is desirable.
