Deployment Engineer

NPPV3 Cleared Deployment Engineer - 6 months Contract - £210/day via Inside IR35 - onsite Gloucester - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

We are looking for a hands-on Deployment Engineer to provide on-site support during a major Windows 11 rollout. You will help keep BAU services running smoothly while supporting users through device changes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a seamless transition to the new platform.

Your responsibilities as a Deployment Engineer:

• Provide on-site deskside support, floor-walking and user assistance during and after Windows 11 deployments.
• Guide users through device changes, offering clear communication and hands-on help.
• Build, image and prepare laptops/desktops, including Autopilot setup and peripheral configuration.
• Perform break/fix activities, incident resolution and smart-hands support for infrastructure teams.
• Manage asset updates, device collections/returns and maintain accurate, auditable records.
• Triage issues quickly, escalate when required and keep users informed throughout.

As a suitable Deployment Engineer, you will have:

• Active NPPV3 Clearance
• Strong hands-on EUC experience with Windows 10/11 and hardware break/fix.
• Exposure to Intune/Autopilot or SCCM for device builds and imaging.
• Basic networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi).
• Excellent customer-facing skills and the ability to work independently on site.
• Physically able to move, install and set up equipment safely; clean driving licence preferred.
• Previous involvement in large-scale OS rollouts (eg, Windows 10 Windows 11).
• Familiarity with AD/AAD, BitLocker, BIOS/UEFI.
