Senior Demand Planner

The EMEA Senior Demand Planner will own the end-to-end demand planning process for assigned markets, categories and customers across the HPC Division, developing accurate unconstrained statistical and collaborative forecasts using multiple data sources, business intelligence and commercial insight.
The role will lead demand reviews with Sales, Marketing and Commercial teams, challenging assumptions where required and ensuring forecasts reflect promotions, new product launches, discontinuations, customer activity and wider market trends.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and regional leadership, the Senior Demand Planner will drive cross-functional alignment and ensure demand plans are aligned with commercial priorities, supply constraints and wider business requirements. The role will actively contribute to the S&OP process, supporting the delivery of a robust consensus forecast and acting as a key point of contact for forecast governance, demand review preparation and demand-related decision-making.
The Role
As a senior member of the planning team, you’ll coach and support Demand Planners, drive best practice and deputise for the Demand Planning Manager when required. You’ll analyse forecast performance, identify root causes and lead improvements across forecasting, systems and planning processes, with a strong focus on simplification and efficiency.
Using SAP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, Excel and Power BI, you’ll provide clear insight through forecasting, reporting and KPI analysis, while supporting wider planning projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end demand planning for assigned markets, categories and customers.
- Develop accurate statistical and collaborative forecasts using data, analytics and commercial insight.
- Lead demand reviews with Sales, Marketing and Commercial teams, challenging assumptions and ensuring robust forecasts.
- Manage demand inputs including promotions, launches, discontinuations and customer activity.
- Identify demand risks and opportunities and ensure accurate NPI and phase-out forecasting.
- Support the consensus forecast and contribute to the S&OP process.
- Drive forecast governance, accuracy and adherence to planning standards.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning and Finance to align demand plans with commercial and supply requirements.
- Analyse forecast accuracy, bias and service performance, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Identify and implement improvements to forecasting methodologies, systems and planning processes.
- Coach and mentor Demand Planners, sharing best practice and supporting onboarding and development.
- Deputise for the Demand Planning Manager when required.
- Develop KPI reporting and use SAP, SAP IBP, Excel and Power BI to support planning and decision-making.
- Support regional/EMEA continuous improvement, system enhancements and planning projects.
About You
You will be an experienced Demand Planner with a strong understanding of forecasting, S&OP and the wider supply chain environment. You will be comfortable working with data and systems while also having the communication and influencing skills required to work effectively with senior commercial and supply chain stakeholders.
As a senior member of the planning team, you will be confident challenging assumptions, sharing best practice and supporting the development of others. You will bring a proactive, analytical and continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
- 4–6 years' Demand Planning experience.
- Strong S&OP experience.
- SAP, SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP experience, or similar.
- Strong Excel and Power BI skills.
- Strong forecasting, statistical analysis and data interpretation skills.
- Confident stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience working with Far East / long lead-time suppliers.
