We're working with a client in the logistics industry based in Gosport who is looking for a seasoned IT Technical Lead to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior technical specialist who enjoys being hands-on, leading by example, and having real influence across infrastructure, applications, and service delivery.

🔍What’s the Role About?

In this senior-level technical position where you’ll guide technology decisions, ensure consistency across systems, and act as the escalation point for complex issues.

You’ll be working closely with cross-functional IT teams to shape solutions that are scalable, secure, and modern supporting everything from on prem to Azure systems.

💡 Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical authority across infrastructure, development, and service delivery teams
• Lead technical design and review of new solutions, ensuring best practice and alignment with overall IT strategy
• Step in as the go-to escalation point for critical issues and complex troubleshooting
• Support and advise on technical aspects of projects and change initiatives
• Promote secure-by-design principles, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.)
• Help modernise the estate, bridging on-prem infrastructure with Azure-based services
• Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing

🛠️ Tech Skills We’re Looking For:

To be considered, you’ll need to bring strong hands-on experience across:

• On-premises infrastructure & Azure cloud environments
• Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD
• Networking fundamentals – switching, routing, firewalls, and connectivity between on-prem/cloud systems
• Good working knowledge of ISO 27001 and general cybersecurity best practices
• Understanding of ERP systems (SAP experience is a bonus)
• Scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and familiarity with Git/version control
