Staff Software Engineer - £110-125k+
London offices + flexible hybrid working
A Principal Software Engineer / Staff Engineer is required to join a high performing software engineering department. The company are building innovative products and require a Principal Engineer to oversee several teams acting a SME and improving product delivery.
The Principal Engineer will lead experienced software engineers, utilising modern technology to Productise applications used by a global customer base. The business offers flexible hybrid working options with offices in London (3-4 days WFH per week).
Responsibilities include:
- Influence technical direction and architecture decisions across a range of Software products
- Implement and improve software engineering practices - SOLID principles, etc
- Play a key role in steering product delivery working with associated software engineers
- Write high quality code in a modern .Net, SQL, Azure environment
Key experience
- A passion for using modern technology to create innovative software products
- Previous experience in a similar role acting as a senior hands-on contributor – Principal, Staff, Lead Engineer or similar
- A strong background in software engineering and hands-on experience with C#, Kafka and MySQL/Postgres
- Experienced in technical decision making and architecture direction
- Well versed with modern cloud platforms with a preference for Azure
- Experience in leading Agile teams or projects within a multi-team set up is desirable
