Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week in-office (Southampton)
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Role
We're hiring a UX Designer to help bring structure, clarity, and usability to the company's data-led platform. As they embed more formal UX processes, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of the user experience function from the ground up.
You'll lead the UX design process using Figma-creating user journeys, storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes-ensuring the platform is intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the UX design process for a data-heavy web platform.
  • Develop storyboards, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes using Figma.
  • Work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
  • Gather user feedback and iterate designs accordingly.
  • Help embed structured UX practices into the product development lifecycle.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience using Figma for design and prototyping.
  • Ability to create storyboards, user journeys, and wireframes that communicate user needs.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles and user-centred design.
  • Collaborative and comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for creating great user experiences.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working on data-rich dashboards or platforms.
  • Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design.
  • Familiarity with front-end concepts (e.g. HTML/CSS) is helpful but not required.
  • Interest in sustainability or infrastructure sectors.
