Project Manager - Product & Technology

About the opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing technology business operating within a specialist professional services market. The company provides a digital platform that helps consumers make more informed decisions when choosing service providers, while also supporting businesses with tools to manage reputation, client feedback, online visibility and customer engagement.

The platform includes features such as verified client feedback, profile management, service-specific search functionality, website integrations, automated review collection, analytics and tools designed to improve customer acquisition and trust.

As the business continues to scale, our client is increasing the size and complexity of the product and technology projects it delivers. Upcoming initiatives include new client journey functionality, platform expansion, enhanced user-facing features and potential mobile application development. They are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to help bring structure, visibility and momentum to these projects.

The role

This is a hands-on Project Manager position working across product, technology and operations.

You will coordinate and drive the delivery of a range of projects, from smaller client-led improvements through to larger strategic product and platform initiatives. Working closely with software development, design, marketing, operations and senior stakeholders, you will ensure projects are clearly scoped, well planned, effectively communicated, properly documented and delivered in line with business priorities.

The successful candidate will bring organisation, structure and pace to project delivery. You will be expected to work independently, spot risks early, escalate issues when needed and provide practical, commercially aware recommendations to help leadership make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of product, technical and operational projects.
  • Coordinate work across software development, design, marketing and wider internal teams.
  • Support delivery of larger strategic initiatives, including new platform functionality, customer journey improvements, platform expansion and mobile-related projects.
  • Balance major business-critical workstreams with smaller client-driven requirements.
  • Create and maintain clear project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies and actions.
  • Use project management tools such as Jira to manage tasks, workflows and project progress.
  • Use documentation platforms such as Confluence to maintain clear project records, decisions, notes and supporting documentation.
  • Support Agile delivery practices across relevant teams.
  • Track progress and ensure stakeholders have clear visibility of project status.
  • Identify risks, blockers, scope changes and dependencies early, escalating where appropriate.
  • Provide clear recommendations and practical options when projects are at risk of moving off track.
  • Ensure decisions are captured clearly so future actions are well informed.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align project delivery with commercial and operational priorities.
  • Help improve internal processes, delivery discipline and ways of working as the business grows.

  • Clear, confident communication skills.
  • Ability to identify risks, dependencies and blockers early.
  • Comfortable working with software development teams.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of project delivery.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Personable, collaborative and able to build strong relationships across teams.

Desirable experience

  • Experience in a SaaS, software, technology, digital product or platform business.
  • Experience in an SME, start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Experience working on mobile app or native app projects.
