A leading organisation is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join their growing analytics function. This role sits within a specialist team that blends technical expertise in modelling, statistical analysis, and data-driven risk solutions to support a high-impact business unit. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring data flows seamlessly through the organisation and that decision-makers have the insights they need in a fast-moving market.

The Role
As an Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and data models. Your work will directly support business-critical functions and provide insight into some of the most complex challenges faced by the company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines to transform large datasets for analytics and reporting.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in underlying data systems and models.

  • Documenting and sharing knowledge to ensure analytics assets are accessible and well-governed.

  • Working with stakeholders to identify key analytical problems and provide innovative, data-led solutions.

  • Partnering with teams across the business - including Analysts, Engineers, and Subject Matter Experts - to conduct analysis and deliver actionable insights.

  • Presenting data-driven findings through clear visualisations and written or verbal communication.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and commercial acumen.

  • Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong programming and data manipulation skills (SQL, Python).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally Azure.

  • Experience with version control tools (eg GitHub).

  • Ability to develop clear and engaging data visualisations (experience with Power BI is a plus).

  • Background in building ETL pipelines and scheduling workflows.

  • Confident operating with autonomy and proactively driving projects forward.
