Spencer Rose is working in partnership with a leading financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Business Continuity & Operational Resilience Specialist at VP level.
This is an exciting opportunity for a resilience professional with strong expertise in Business Continuity Management (BCM), Operational Resilience, and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation's resilience framework, supporting critical third party oversight, and driving the enhancement of BCM processes and controls across the business.
The VP Business Continuity Specialist will have the following responsibilities -
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business, providing expert guidance on Business Continuity and Operational Resilience matters
- Serve as the SME for Enterprise Continuity, Crisis Management, and Operational Resilience, with a particular focus on Third-Party Risk Management.
- Partner closely with Procurement and Third Party Management teams to embed resilience considerations throughout the third-party life cycle.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate BCM related risks, ensuring effective governance and control management.
- Work alongside Risk teams to manage incidents, issues, emerging risks, controls, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), ensuring accurate recording and reporting within Archer.
- Drive resilience improvements through risk assessments, scenario testing, and continuous enhancement activities.
The VP Business Continuity Specialist will need to have the following skills & experience -
- Proven experience designing, facilitating, and delivering Business Continuity scenario testing, including vulnerability assessment and remediation planning.
- Strong background in Third-Party Resilience programme delivery within a regulated environment.
- Experience assessing and mitigating risks across technology, third-party suppliers, facilities, and people.
- Demonstrable experience implementing and embedding Operational Resilience frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
- Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry would be highly advantageous.
