They operate at the intersection of brand, performance, and data, and are now investing heavily in building a best-in-class data and AI capability to underpin both client delivery and internal operations.
Current Marketing Setup
The agency is in the early stages of using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / Big Query as the central data platform and the source of truth to enable to capabilities as described above. The agency benefits from full access to GCP services and has access to Gemini premium across the Google stack and products.
In addition to the above; the agency uses Data Studio for the creation of client dashboards. Of which we have almost completed the first version of the dashboard we then hope to use across all clients (with some element of customisation).
Challenge
We have been working with a 3rd party to setup our GCP which the business is the owner of. Progress has been very slow in developing client dashboards and fully integrating the capabilities of GCP within the team.
Challenges include:
Slow progress on dashboard deployment and pipeline stability
Lack of clear data architecture and documentation
Limited automation and operational efficiency
Underutilisation of GCP and AI capabilities
Fragmented approach to data ingestion and modelling
The Individual
We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to help us transition from an early-stage data setup into a scalable, production-ready data platform. The individual is required to have:
Strong experience with GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, etc.)
Proven track record building marketing data pipelines
Experience with Looker Studio / BI tools
Familiarity with Airbyte or similar ETL tools
Experience integrating or working alongside LLMs / AI workflows
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Able to own problems end-to-end, not just execute tasks
The goal is to establish:
A robust, well-architected GCP data platform
Automated, reliable data pipelines across all marketing channels
Client-ready reporting infrastructure that scales
Foundations for AI-driven insights, automation, and productisation
We are looking for someone who can build and shape the architecture around our business.
Scope of Work:
Data platform
Further development of the data platform (GCP) to maximise the capabilities of the solution
Technical design (architecture) and development of the platform, building on the current marketing setup to incorporate additional capabilities
Ongoing maintenance and optimisation of data pipelines across platforms/data sources > GCP > outputs
Integration of Claude Code with GCP to enable agentic operations and support the development of new tools and solutions
Training and enablement of the team on using Gemini and GCP to enhance day-to-day insight generation and reporting
GCP enablement to improve BAU processes, including:
Table/data automation and augmentation into reports via Google Sheets and Google Slides
Performance health checks and alerting (e.g. changes in performance triggering automated signals to pause or adjust optimisation)
Taxonomy and tracking validation (health checks and approval workflows)
Basic QA processes (e.g. spelling and copy review)
Data Studio Reporting / Client Dashboards
Completion of the template client dashboard (currently ~99% complete)
Build of ~8 client-ready performance dashboards based on the core template
Connection of dashboards to marketing data sources via Airbyte / BigQuery
Setup of GCP-based agents to automate insight generation, improving operational efficiency and speed
Productisation
Brand Tracking Tool
Leverage data from a combination of established sources (survey-based/social listening/LLM visibility tools) - via API or Airbyte - to develop a bespoke, dynamic brand tracking solution for clients which will monitor:
Client visibility + brand health metrics in real time, with clear correlation to media campaign impact and commercial outcomes
Trending conversations across social, AI and search
Emerging opportunities, identification of the "white space" for clients to belong to
Competitor benchmarking and analysis
End goal is to produce a proprietary sector specific tool which provides a unique point of difference vs existing in-market brand tracking solutions
Auditing solution(s)
Develop agents/tools to audit paid media accounts and identify areas for improvement, with outputs surfaced for internal review before client use
Develop agents/tools to audit client websites from an organic search / LLM perspective, identifying areas for improvement
MMM integration (as discussed in separate scope)
Support integration of proprietary MMM model into the GCP environment
Refine dashboard output to incorporate and clearly present insights from the model
