About the RoleAn established client side organisation is looking for a Website Executive to support the ongoing development, maintenance, and optimisation of its public-facing website. This role is ideal for someone with experience in digital content management, website optimisation, and analytics who is looking to expand their expertise within a collaborative digital team.
Working alongside the Website Manager, you will contribute to website enhancements, user experience improvements, testing activities, and performance reporting. You will also take ownership of content management processes, ensuring the website remains accurate, accessible, user-focused, and aligned with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities Website Development and Optimisation- Assist in delivering website enhancements and digital initiatives.
- Support user experience improvements through A/B testing and optimisation projects.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for website updates, identifying issues before deployment and ensuring a high-quality user experience.
- Work with internal teams and external development partners to support successful project delivery.
- Act as the primary administrator for the organisation's content management system (CMS).
- Umbraco is the CMS used here, so Umbraco experience would be beneficial
- Create, update, publish, and maintain website content across campaign and evergreen pages.
- Ensure all content follows accessibility standards, SEO best practices, and brand guidelines.
- Produce and edit website copy that meets audience needs and organisational tone of voice.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications colleagues to maintain consistent messaging across digital channels.
- Develop and maintain frequently asked questions and other knowledge-based content.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues using the CMS.
- Create user guides and training materials to improve confidence and consistency across teams.
- Liaise with external web development partners to resolve technical issues when required.
- Monitor website performance using analytics and user behaviour tools.
- Produce regular reports that communicate key performance indicators and user insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve website engagement, conversion, and user journeys through data-driven recommendations.
- At least two years' experience in website management, digital delivery, or a similar digital role.
- Experience using one or more content management systems; experience with Umbraco would be advantageous.
- Proven experience using Google Analytics 4 or comparable analytics platforms to monitor performance and generate reports.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working across departments and with external suppliers.
- High attention to detail, particularly when reviewing website content, testing functionality, and maintaining quality standards.
- Good understanding of user experience principles and website optimisation techniques.
- Experience writing and editing web content with consideration for accessibility, tone of voice, and SEO.
- Ability to champion effective website practices and encourage stakeholder engagement.
- Awareness of emerging trends in digital marketing, AI, search technologies, and website optimisation.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG.
- Understanding of SEO principles and content optimisation.
- Experience using tools such as Hotjar, Looker Studio, or similar reporting platforms.
- Appreciation of working within a customer-focused or public engagement environment.
