Recruitment Consultant – Maritime Technology

Already recruiting within Technology and looking for a specialist market where you can really make your mark?

Spinnaker is looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our Maritime Technology team, one of the fastest-growing areas of our recruitment business.

We're particularly interested in speaking with recruiters with around 2–5 years' experience. Technology recruitment experience would be preferable, but it doesn't need to have been within shipping.

You bring the recruitment and technology knowledge. We'll teach you maritime.

• Around 2–5 years' recruitment experience
• Ideally experience recruiting within Technology, SaaS, Software, Digital, Data or a related market
• A strong 360 recruitment and business development approach
• Evidence of winning new clients, generating vacancies and developing accounts
• Someone proactive and comfortable creating their own opportunities
• Strong client and candidate relationship-building skills
• A genuine interest in technology and emerging markets
• Someone ambitious who wants to help develop a rapidly growing specialist desk
• Ideally someone based in Essex, East London or the surrounding area

Technology is playing an increasingly important role across the global maritime industry, and this has become one of the fastest-growing areas of our business.

You'll recruit internationally across areas including maritime software and SaaS, AI and data, vessel performance and optimisation, digitalisation, connectivity, cybersecurity, fleet technology and decarbonisation technology.

The roles themselves can span Sales and Business Development, Product, Customer Success, Implementation, Software, Data, Digital and other technology functions.

You'll manage the full recruitment lifecycle while developing new clients and building your own specialist network within the global maritime technology market.

You'll also have the advantage of Spinnaker's wider maritime client base and the opportunity to cross-sell into organisations we've worked with for many years.

Maritime Technology is still a relatively new area for us, which means you'll be joining at an exciting stage — the foundations are already there, but there is significant scope to help shape and grow the desk as the market develops.
