Business Analyst
Role: Business / Data Analyst – Enterprise Client Master (ECM)
Location: Hybrid working (2 days office / 3 days remote – London based)
Contract: 6-month rolling
Day rate: £520
An experienced Business / Data Analyst is required to support a large-scale Enterprise Client Master (ECM) / Global Client Data Model initiative. This role underpins client hierarchy management, entity mastering, data quality, and insight delivery across CRM, data cloud, and analytics platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead analysis for a Global Client Data Model covering legal entities, organisational hierarchies, relationships, and identifiers (e.g. DUNS / LEI where applicable).
- Work with business stakeholders across Distribution, Marketing, Client Services, Finance, and Data functions to define enterprise-level client definitions, attributes, and hierarchy rules.
- Translate business requirements into clear, structured artefacts covering client mastering, enrichment, matching, survivorship rules, and data quality standards.
- Support the design of an Enterprise Client Master operating model, including stewardship responsibilities, governance processes, and data ownership frameworks.
- Collaborate with Data, Architecture, Engineering, UX, and CRM Business Analysts to ensure alignment between business requirements, data models, and platform capability.
- Contribute to Build vs Buy decisions for MDM / Client Master tooling, including definition of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Support testing and validation of mastered client data across CRM, Data Cloud, and downstream analytics platforms.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of Asset Management operating models, including institutional and wholesale distribution, client servicing, and fund structures.
- Experience working in B2B environments with complex client organisations, multi-entity relationships, and long sales/service cycles.
- Strong knowledge of how clients, consultants, intermediaries, mandates, and legal entities are structured and related within Asset Management or similar Financial Services environments.
- Strong experience producing BA artefacts including:
- Data definitions and logical data models
- Hierarchy and relationship rules
- Business rules and acceptance criteria
- JIRA features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Experience supporting testing and validation of data within CRM and analytics environments.
- Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud, MDM platforms, or client/entity mastering solutions.
- Experience working with external reference data providers (e.g. Dun & Bradstreet, LEI data).
- Background in Financial Services or Asset Management (preferred but not essential).
- Understanding of data governance, stewardship models, and regulatory considerations.
