Job Title: Endevor Administrator
Location: Manchester (2 days onsite per week)
Salary/Rate: Up to £350 per day (PAYE through umbrella)
Start Date: 24/11/2025
Job Type: 6-month contract

Company Introduction:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Endevor Administrator to join a leading organisation on a six-month contract. This role offers the chance to play a key part in maintaining and supporting Mainframe source code management systems within a collaborative and technically skilled environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administering and maintaining CA Endevor environments across multiple LPARs.
• Managing version control and change management processes for Mainframe applications.
• Creating and maintaining processor groups, element types, and Endevor exits.
• Performing installations, upgrades, and configuration of Endevor software.
• Automating deployment, shipment, and archiving processes.
• Providing technical support, guidance, and training to development teams and users.
• Monitoring system performance and ensuring appropriate backups and storage capacity.
• Collaborating with release management teams to support production deployments.
• Documenting configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience in Endevor administration or Mainframe support.
• Strong working knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF, REXX, and CLIST.
• Experience with ACF2 or RACF for security administration.
• Familiarity with Tivoli Storage Manager or equivalent backup tools.
• Proven problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with automation tools and Scripting.
• Understanding of Cobol, JCL, or other Mainframe programming languages.
