The business also runs a training academy to upskill engineers in telecom and fibre installation.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

To carry out home installations, cabling, and fibre splicing for the FTTH/Openreach network, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Responsible for installing, testing, and troubleshooting fibre optic systems in residential settings. The role includes working as part of a team, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

1. Complete home fibre installations on time and to standard
2. Perform cabling, rodding/roping, fibre blowing, and splicing (OH/UG).
3. Read and follow network schematics; update as-built drawings, as well as troubleshoot and blow fiber
4. Test and troubleshoot fibre connections (OTDR/ILM/power meter).

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Fibre installation/testing, Openreach/PIA infrastructure, basic IT and drawings interpretation
2. BT PIA (SA001/SA002/S7/S8)
3. NRSWA 2 Certificate and track record working on MDU's
4. Clean driving licence

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

1. Full Streetwork NRSWA 1-8
2. SSSTS
3. City Guilds 3667
4. TETRA and SA020
