Job Title: Mobile App Automation Tester - Appium
Location: London (2 x days per week on-site)
Salary/Rate: Up top £310 per day
Start Date: November/December 2025
Job Type: 6 month contract (Inside IR35)

Company Introduction
We are recruiting for a Mobile App Automation tester with extensive experience in Appium and hands on testing experience in iOS and Android to join our client in the telecommunications industry.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Strong experience in mobile app testing (Android & iOS).
• Hands-on experience with WebdriverIO (WDIO) and JavaScript or Typescript for mobile automation.
• Good Experience with Appium
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• Familiarity with LambdaTest, Xray, and BlazeMeter.
• Good understanding of test data management and environment handling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of GA Testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Performance Testing (BlazeMeter, JMeter) and Accessibility Testing.
• Familiarity with mocking test data and managing staging environments.
• Experience in agile/scrum environments.
• Experience with Optimizely or Braze like tools.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• We are looking for a Mobile App QA Engineer to join our clients Consumer Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing iOS and Android applications, along with strong knowledge of QA processes, automation, and mobile testing tools. This role involves manual and automation testing, test case management, and ensuring high-quality mobile app releases.
• Perform manual and automated testing of iOS and Android applications (React Native).
• Validate functional, regression, smoke, and integration scenarios.
• Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing across multiple environments.
• Ensure proper test coverage for all new features and bug fixes.
• Work on mobile test automation frameworks (Appium Preferred).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using WebdriverIO (WDIO) for mobile apps.
• Execute and maintain regression automation suites in CI/CD pipelines.
• Log defects with clear steps, screenshots, and videos in JIRA
• Utilise Xray for test case management, execution, and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure end-to-end quality.
• Support test data creation and environment preparation for testing.
• Participate in release readiness and sign-off activities.
• Participate in performance and accessibility testing for mobile apps.
• Understanding of WebView testing and mobile app integration scenarios
