The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to drive new business within a respected and rapidly growing RegTech firm. The role requires strong knowledge of financial regulations, SaaS platforms, and the reporting needs of investment and financial institutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading complex sales cycles, engaging senior stakeholders, and contributing directly to market expansion. This is a highly autonomous, high-impact role ideal for someone who can leverage strong industry networks and deliver measurable commercial results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across financial and investment institutions.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and solution presentations to onboarding coordination and long-term account management.
- Conduct data-driven market analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and emerging client needs.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Compliance teams to align client requirements with technology and service capabilities.
- Provide market feedback to support product development and competitive positioning.
- Maintain strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II, MiFIR, SFTR, ASIC).
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and professional forums.
Skills & Experience Required
- 7+ years of B2B sales experience within FinTech, RegTech, or related financial technology sectors.
- Proven track record selling SaaS or managed service solutions into financial and investment institutions.
- Strong understanding of trade and transaction reporting regimes.
- Knowledge of reportable financial products including derivatives, FX forwards, and other complex instruments.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, CRM platforms, AI-driven tools) for pipeline and performance management.
- Established network across financial services, particularly with compliance, operations, and technology stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex regulatory topics.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a target-driven environment.
- Experience managing long sales cycles and delivering consistent commercial results.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with major trade repositories.
- Understanding of reporting regimes beyond Europe (e.g., MAS, HKMA, CFTC).
- Experience in post-trade operations, reconciliation, or data management.
- Interest in emerging technologies that enhance automation and regulatory reporting efficiency.
Education & Background
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISI, CFA, FRM) are advantageous.
- Strong grounding in financial markets, trading operations, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working with financial institutions or vendors supporting regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics and technology platforms relevant to reporting.
