Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Storage SME to join their team for a contract until the end of the year.

Job Responsibilities/Objective:

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can provide technical leadership, best-practice guidance, and deep expertise in Pure Storage technologies across multi-cloud, hybrid, or on-prem environments. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, and automation teams to ensure the bank's storage platform is secure, resilient, scalable, and optimised for containerised workloads.

1. Define the end-to-end storage architecture strategy, incorporating Pure Storage best practices.
2. Lead storage provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity planning activities across Pure Storage arrays.
3. Partner closely with Infrastructure Engineers and OpenShift Architects to align storage, compute, and networking layers.
4. Ensure compatibility and performance of containerised workloads, including CSI-based persistent storage.
5. Implement high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies using Pure Storage features and capabilities.
6. Work with Automation teams to streamline and automate provisioning, scaling, and life cycle management of Pure Storage systems.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise storage technologies.
2. Strong understanding of storage protocols including iSCSI, NFS, Fibre Channel, and SAN/NAS architectures.
3. Advanced knowledge of backup, replication, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies in Pure Storage environments.
4. Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimise high-performance storage systems.
5. Pure Storage or other storage vendor certifications are highly desirable.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical teams and stakeholders.
