IT Service Desk Analyst

Job summary

We are looking to recruit a band 4, IT Service Desk Analyst.

The role would be to work as part of a team supporting clinical and non-clinical users throughout the trust in their use of all IDT services and where appropriate offering advice and support to the user. Also managing and triaging of IT Service desk phone calls and escalating to management where necessary.

Main duties of the job

This position requires participation in a paid out of hours on call system.

We are looking for previous experience of working in a high demanding environment with excellent communication skills and to be able to work well as part of a team.

Person Specification

Skills

Essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with personnel at all levels, within all disciplines of the Trust
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to clarify a problem, seek all relevant information, detect trends and link cause and effect, and identify the critical issues in a complex situation
  • Able to communicate technical issues to non-IT staff effectively
Desirable
  • Service delivery/outsourced environment/customer centric environment
  • Knowledge of ITIL

Qualifications

Essential
  • Degree or diploma qualification in an IT-related discipline or equivalent experience
Desirable
  • MCSE/CCNA
  • Experience of Clinical Information Systems
  • Experience using remote support software
  • Experience of working in a demanding, quality driven customer services environmen
