Legal Counsel
We are working with a listed technology company to recruit a legal counsel to join its global legal team.
Based in the UK, you will report to a Senior Legal Counsel based in Australia, to support the business on a broad range of corporate, commercial and governance matters globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising various departments and stakeholders in the UK, EMEA and AMERS on a broad range of matters.
- Advising on, and managing, SiteMinder’s real property interests in the UK, EMEA and AMERS.
- Providing company secretarial support in various jurisdictions.
- Monitoring and assessing supply chain compliance with applicable sanctions regulations.
- Monitoring and advising on regulatory developments in the UK, EMEA and AMERS and providing clear, actionable advice to the business.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements with partners, suppliers, and customers
About You
- Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and a current practising certificate.
- 5-8 years PQE at a reputable law firm and/or in-house at a global corporation.
- Broad corporate/ commercial skill set.
- Must be a self starter with high energy and a proven ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
- Team player and comfortable working with clients and colleagues across a range of jurisdictions.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to interact effectively and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the business, along with external advisors.
- Passionate about innovation and emerging digital technology.
- Comfortable hitting the ground running in fast paced scale-up environments.
- Experience working with AI technologies to increase efficiency in legal operations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Comfortable with working across time zones.
- Spanish language skills and/or Spanish legal qualification would be highly regarded.
