Workday Implementation Manager People Function

Transform How We Support Our People - Lead Our Workday Optimisation Journey

At St Monica Trust, we're building communities where older people flourish, and that starts with creating an exceptional environment for our teams. As our Workday Implementation Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in our HR digital transformation - optimising our HRIS and People systems to ensure our HR technology empowers colleagues, drives efficiency, and enables us to focus on what matters most: delivering outstanding care and support. We are looking for someone with big ideas, bold intent and who is able to see important work from conception through to embedment. If you are ready to start a new and exciting chapter, are relentless in your approach for delivery and have a keeneye for detail and process excellence, we want to hear from you!

Why This Role Matters

Two years into our Workday journey, we're ready to unlock its full potential. This role sits at the heart of our commitment to being responsive and innovative - values that define who we are. By transforming our HR processes, leading change management initiatives, and building data-led insights through our HRIS, you'll help create a modern, efficient People function that supports our entire community. Your work will directly impact how well we can care for our teams, who in turn care for our residents.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Taking ownership of our Workday recovery journey - you'll be developing a clear roadmap that gets us back on track, with specific milestones and the right people in the right places to deliver real results
  • Rolling up your sleeves to redesign HR processes that aren't quite working for us yet, bringing together task and finish groups to reimagine how we work in ways that truly align with what Workday does best, and then lead the delivery of this work
  • Building a People Dashboard that becomes the go-to source of truth for our teams and leaders - one that's intuitive, automated where possible, and gives everyone the insights they need at a glance so that we can better understand what our metrics are telling us and use these as a barometer of our health
  • Becoming the go-to Workday expert for our People team, leading stakeholder engagement, helping colleagues navigate change, solving HRIS challenges strategically, and building strong collaborative relationships across IT, Finance, Payroll, and Care
  • Bridging the gap between what the business needs and what the system can do - you'll be translating requirements into solutions and making sure everyone understands the 'why' behind the changes

What You'll Get In Return

Joining St Monica Trust means becoming part of a values-led organisation where people are at the heart of everything we do. Aside from a competitive salary, you'll also get:

  • A comprehensive benefits package, including generous holiday entitlement and pension contributions
  • Opportunities for professional development and ongoing training to help you grow your expertise in HR technology and transformation
  • A supportive, collaborative environment where your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills will be valued and where you'll work alongside dedicated colleagues committed to excellence
  • The chance to make a tangible, lasting impact on how we support our teams and, ultimately, the older people in our care

What You'll Bring

  • You know Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) inside and out, and you've already helped organisations get more from their HR systems and digital platforms - you understand what good looks like and how to get there
  • You're comfortable in the boardroom and the workshop - able to grasp complex challenges, influence senior stakeholders, and see the bigger picture whilst getting into the detail when needed
  • You build relationships naturally and quickly, whether that's partnering with IT, Finance, Payroll, or Care teams - people trust you to deliver and enjoy working with you
  • You've reimagined HR processes before and led people through change management programmes, perhaps creating dashboards that actually get used because they make people's lives easier
  • When problems arise, you're the person who stays calm, thinks holistically, and finds a way forward - you're proactive and resilient by nature
  • You're handy with digital tools like Jira for managing change and tracking progress, and you take real ownership of getting things over the line
  • You have a solid grounding in HR and a clear vision of what a modern, efficient, digital-first People function should look and feel like

Why This Role Is For You

If you're passionate about harnessing HR technology to transform how organisations support their people and enables the organisation, this role offers a unique opportunity. You'll take ownership of a vital HR transformation programme, working with autonomy and trust to deliver real change. Your strategic thinking will be valued, your voice will be heard, and you'll be part of an organisation that lives its values every day. We're looking for someone who thrives on turning challenges into opportunities and who wants their work to contribute to something genuinely meaningful - creating communities where both our colleagues and residents can flourish.
