Responsibilities in your new role as Data Quality Manager
In this role, you will take ownership of geospatial data quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all data assets. You'll define clear data quality standards as part of a wider governance framework and work closely with data owners to embed best practices into everyday processes.
You'll monitor performance against agreed standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement the right tools to support data quality across the full lifecycle. This includes hands-on data cleansing and validation, as well as feeding insights an improvement priorities into an agile development and release process to drive continuous enhancement.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We're looking for a technically strong data professional with proven experience working with data quality tools and frameworks such as Collibra or DAMA-DMBOK. A solid understanding if GIS platforms including ArcGIS and QGIS is essential, alongside experience handling geospatial data formats such as Shapefiles and GeoJSON.
You'll bring a strong grasp of data governance principals and relevant regulatory considerations, ideally within Government, Infrastructure, or Utilities environments. Highly analytical and solutions-focused, you'll be confident prioritising competing demands, managing your time effectively, and delivering against key objectives. Clear communication and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for a range of stakeholders will be critical to success in the role.
