Business Development Manager (BDM)
The role
We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our commercial team at Stage Stubs (part of Raviga Group).
We are a rapidly scaling SaaS platform that provides ticketing solutions for the performing arts industry. We are past the early startup chaos, but still lean enough that every deal you close has a measurable impact on the business and our growth trajectory.
This role is perfect for a proactive sales professional who wants to sell a platform that genuinely solves problems. You will be taking a market-leading, modern platform to dance studios, academies, and performing arts schools that are desperate for better ticketing solutions for their events.
What you will be doing
You will be taking ownership of the sales pipeline, working to expand our market share across the UK and internationally by
Driving growth
Managing the full sales cycle from initial outbound prospecting on the phones and via email through to guiding prospects to create and release their events, helping them make the most from their event. We want everyone to have a fantastic experience, so focusing on a strong rapport and great service is paramount, as we need to continue to nurture all accounts post-event too, to ensure they keep coming back time and time again for all their future shows.
Pipeline management
Building and maintaining a robust pipeline, keeping our CRM (HubSpot) accurate, and accurately forecasting revenue, reporting to our group's Sales and Marketing lead.
Strategic outreach
Identifying key target accounts within the Dance & Performance Arts sector and crafting personalised outreach strategies which you’ll directly deliver, and supporting the wider team with any in-person industry events we exhibit at and deliver talks at.
What we are looking for
We want someone with a "consultative" mindset. You should care about hitting your numbers, but also understand the long-term win from a strong partnership, so you ensure you’re investing your time between new account onboarding, nurturing their event creation/release/sale and lastly, supporting their marketing for their next event with us.
Proven B2B sales experience
You have a track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quotas, ideally within a SaaS or software environment.
Process driven
You know how to manage your time, nurture leads, and systematically move prospects through a sales funnel.
Exceptional communicator
You are confident running demos, handling objections on the fly, and articulating complex value propositions simply. If you don’t like talking to people and making outbound calls, this role is not for you.
Self-starter
You don’t wait for inbound leads to be handed to you; you are hungry and consistently hunt for new business, sales and partnership opportunities.
Sales experience within the SaaS space, ticketing, or the dance/performing arts sector is a huge bonus, but not essential.
Why join us?
A product that sells
You will be representing a modern, robust platform that genuinely makes life easier for event organisers.
Growth
With you being the single sales-focused individual for the quickly growing Stage Stubs platform, there’s a huge scope for growth as the company scales for the right individual.
Autonomy
We hate red tape, we care about your output, your pipeline, and your success.
Compensation
We're offering a basic salary of £35,000 with an uncapped commission structure based on accounts you onboard and monetise.
