Role:

  • Responsible for handling network installation, configuration, and maintenance across their office, data-centre, and colocation sites.
  • A focus on Cisco and Arista equipment, particularly routers and switches.
  • Role will focus on project work, but will sit as a Point of Escalation for the Network Operations team
  • Large volume of work to come from an on-going initiative to improve go to market speed closer to ultra-high frequency. As a result my client is heavily investing in compute power, colocation, and cloud.
  • Design and implement green-field networking solutions
  • Opportunity to research and evaluate new network technologies applications
  • Network automation heavy environment
  • Infra environment: Hybrid - mixture of Windows and Linux (mainly Linux) | AWS and Openshift Cloud

Requirements:

  • Strong core network engineering experience
  • Strong automation experience - likes of Python, Golang, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, GIT, Kubernetes
  • Cisco Certification - CCNP/CCIE Level
  • Strong Linux
  • Experience architecting network solutions for production purposes
  • Global WAN build experience i.e. BGP Segment routing in SD-WAN deployments
  • Broad infra knowledge - as a result exposure within a small or medium size firm more suited
  • Good level of data-centre experience
  • Timing solution experience - GPS, PTP, NTP, PPS
  • Packet analysis experience - Wireshark
  • Packet capture experience - Optical taps, SPAN, tap aggregation, timestamping
  • No issue waiting for non-competes
  • Bonus: Investment sector experience, low latency networking
