As Commercial Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the Finance team in a high-visibility role, partnering closely with senior leadership to shape strategy and drive performance. Finance sits at the heart of the organisation - providing insight, challenge and direction to enable informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
π What you will be doing
Strategic Leadership
β’ Act as the lead finance partner for key departments and programmes
β’ Partner with senior leadership to shape strategy and commercial decisions
β’ Provide clear insight, analysis and constructive challenge
β’ Align planning, management accounting and capital teams
β’ Champion strategic priorities across finance, driving engagement and delivery
Governance & Performance
β’ Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning cycles
β’ Ensure compliance with government finance standards and regulatory requirements
β’ Maintain strong financial governance, controls and risk management
β’ Drive continuous improvement across reporting, analysis and insight
β’ Build robust systems and data to support future decision-making
Stakeholder & External Engagement
β’ Act as a trusted Finance partner to senior leadership
β’ Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including funders and partners
β’ Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting and performance insight
β’ Collaborate cross-functionally to support a unified, organisation-wide approach
π€ About You
β’ Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
β’ Proven experience in commercial finance / business partnering roles
β’ Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders
β’ Experience delivering budgets, forecasts and long-range plans
β’ Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
β’ Commercially minded with the ability to turn insight into action
β’ Strong communication and presentation skills
β’ Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, complex environment
