We are partnering with an innovative, purpose-driven organisation based in Richmond upon Thames that is tackling complex, real-world challenges. Their Finance team plays a central role in shaping strategy and performance, and they are now looking for a Financial Controller to join the leadership team.
📊 The Role
As Financial Controller, you will oversee:
- Management Accounting
- Financial Operations (AP/AR)
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Tax & Compliance
You will ensure strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and robust controls, while supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing finance team
- Own financial and management reporting, delivering clear insights to support decision-making
- Drive process improvements and optimise ERP systems
- Oversee audit processes and maintain strong financial controls
- Develop and enhance financial policies and governance frameworks
- Partner with senior stakeholders to influence strategic direction
- Promote continuous improvement across finance and operations
👤 About You
- Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience
- Proven experience operating as a Financial Controller
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience leading and developing sizeable teams
- Track record of improving processes, controls, and efficiencies
- Experience working with ERP systems and transformation initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience within complex or project-based organisations would be advantageous but not essential.
