Stanton House is partnering with a large, complex international organisation undergoing a significant finance transformation programme to appoint a Global Process Owner within its Finance function.
Operating across multiple geographies through a shared services model, the organisation is investing heavily in process standardisation, digital enablement, governance, and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of a global finance operating model, driving consistency, control, and performance across a multinational environment.
Role
The successful candidate will take ownership of a critical end-to-end O2C global finance process, ensuring it is designed, governed, and operated to the highest standards of efficiency, control, and compliance.
Working at the intersection of finance, systems, and transformation, you will define and execute the global process strategy, aligning process design, technology, data governance, and controls to support a future-ready finance function. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for driving standardisation, automation, continuous improvement, and governance across multiple regions.

Responsibilities
- Define and deliver a global process strategy aligned to the wider finance transformation roadmap and operating model.
- Drive global process standardisation, governance, efficiency, and control performance across all regions.
- Own the global governance framework, ensuring compliance with finance policies, delegated authorities, audit requirements, and internal controls.
- Establish and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, control matrices, and governance standards.
- Monitor process KPIs, control effectiveness, and compliance metrics to support audit readiness and continuous improvement.
- Act as the accountable owner for key process controls and governance attestations.
- Lead global process improvement initiatives focused on simplification, automation, digital enablement, and optimisation.
- Manage the process improvement roadmap, working closely with systems, technology, and transformation teams to deliver change.
- Drive the development of reporting capabilities and ensure new reporting requirements are embedded into controlled and standardised processes.
- Build strong relationships with global finance, technology, operations, and outsourced service delivery stakeholders.
- Influence senior leaders to support process improvements, governance initiatives, and transformation priorities.
- Lead and develop a global community of process professionals, promoting collaboration, capability development, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Essential
- Qualified Accounta nt (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant experience in senior finance, process governance, shared services, or transformation leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end global O2C finance process design, governance, standardisation, and optimisation within complex multinational organisations.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record leading large-scale transformation, process improvement, and global standardisation initiatives in O2C
- Strong understanding of finance technology, ERP platforms, automation tools, and reporting solutions.
- Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior finance leaders, controllers, technology teams, and outsourced service providers.
- Proven experience leading teams, process networks, or cross-functional communities within global environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
Desired
- Experience working within shared services or global business services environments.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA or similar large-scale ERP transformation programmes.
- Experience managing or working alongside outsourced finance service delivery partners.
- Experience leading finance process automation, AI-enabled improvements, or digital transformation initiatives.
