Salesforce Solutions Architect

A Salesforce Solution Architect is required to support a large‐scale CRM transformation programme for an exciting professional services client.

This is an opportunity to take a complex, legacy‐integrated estate and evolve it into a well‐governed, scalable target architecture. The role will focus on end‐to‐end solution design across Salesforce and connected platforms, supporting delivery teams through build, release and migration, while ensuring architectural coherence, data integrity and operational resilience ahead of a 2026 legacy exit.

Responsibilities

• Define Salesforce‐led target architectures across business processes, data, integrations and release management.
• Own solution design for Salesforce capabilities, working closely with delivery teams throughout build and release cycles.
• Provide architectural assurance, challenge designs constructively, and unblock delivery risks.
• Collaborate with business, technology, data and integration teams to align solutions to programme objectives.
• Support release planning, environment strategy and deployment governance across Salesforce and adjacent platforms.

Key deliverables

• Salesforce solution architectures aligned to enterprise standards and delivery constraints.
• High‐level and low‐level designs covering data models, integrations, security and non‐functional requirements.
• Architecture decision records (ADRs) and governance artefacts.
• Input into release management, deployment strategy and environment configuration (e.g. Gearset / Azure DevOps).
• Design support through build, test, cutover and legacy decommissioning phases.

Essential skills and experience

• Proven experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect on complex, multi‐stream delivery programmes.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, data models, security, sharing and limits.
• Experience designing integrations between Salesforce and downstream systems using modern integration patterns.
• Strong grasp of order‐to‐cash / billing, customer lifecycle or transactional business processes.
• Experience working in delivery‐embedded architecture roles, balancing governance with pace.
• Ability to clearly articulate, document and defend architectural decisions with senior stakeholders.

Additional desirable experience

• Experience with Salesforce release management tooling (e.g. Gearset) and ALM practices.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps or similar delivery toolchains.
• Experience working in regulated or highly controlled enterprise environments.
• Background in utilities, financial services, subscription or membership‐based organisations.

Contract length - 6 months

There is a requirement to be on site 2 days a week
