Senior Commercial Analyst

Senior Commercial Analyst

Hybrid | Hook | Permanent

£60,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience) + Bonus + Car Allowance + Private Medical + Strong Pension

An established UK services organisation is looking to strengthen its commercial and pricing capability with the addition of a technically strong analyst. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys financial modelling, pricing strategy and turning complex operational information into commercially robust decisions.

Working on high-value bids, contract renewals and strategic pricing projects, you'll play a key role in developing financial models that influence major business decisions. The role offers significant visibility across senior stakeholders whilst maintaining a strong focus on the technical aspects of modelling and analysis.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and maintaining sophisticated financial and pricing models
  • Supporting commercial bids, tenders and contract renewals
  • Performing scenario, sensitivity and profitability analysis
  • Translating operational assumptions into financial outcomes
  • Producing clear commercial recommendations for leadership teams
  • Supporting business cases and investment decisions
  • Analysing contract performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Working closely with Finance, Commercial, Operations and Bid teams

What we're looking for

  • Strong financial modelling capability with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience within pricing, commercial finance, bid finance or financial analysis
  • Ability to manipulate large datasets and develop meaningful commercial insight
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred, although part-qualified and QBE candidates will be considered
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Commercially curious mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders

Ideal Backgrounds

We are particularly interested in candidates from:

  • Pricing and bid teams
  • Commercial finance functions
  • Outsourcing and support services organisations
  • Facilities management businesses
  • Infrastructure, engineering or project-based environments
  • Consultancy or professional services firms with strong modelling exposure

Why this role?

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing team that is deliberately investing in technical commercial capability. Rather than a stakeholder-heavy management position, this role offers genuine ownership of modelling and pricing activity, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex commercial problems and influencing multi-million-pound decisions through data and analysis.

For ambitious analysts looking to deepen their expertise and build a long-term career in commercial pricing, this role offers both challenge and progression in equal measure.
