Shift Pattern: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off | 12-Hour Shifts

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering team supporting customers across a regional patch.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working independently, solving technical issues on-site and delivering high levels of customer service.
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of IT / network infrastructure equipment, ensuring systems remain operational and customer downtime is kept to a minimum.

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of IT / network infrastructure equipment, ensuring systems remain operational and customer downtime is kept to a minimum.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing, maintaining and repairing IT and network hardware at customer sites
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out break-fix repairs on equipment and infrastructure
- Supporting routers, switches, EPOS / IT devices and associated peripherals
- Installing and terminating network cabling including Cat5e / Cat6
- Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and network devices
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance visits
- Responding to service calls and ensuring SLAs are met
- Providing clear updates, reports and job notes via service systems
- Delivering excellent customer service on every visit
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer / IT Field Engineer / Mobile Engineer
- Strong experience with:
- Cisco routers / switches
- Network connectivity
- Cat5e / Cat6 cabling
- IT / EPOS hardware support
- Ability to fault-find and resolve technical issues independently
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing environment
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with:
- Cradlepoint / DrayTek routers
- Broadband / comms faults
- Structured cabling
- Merchant / retail / hospitality environments
