Infrastructure Engineer

£50,000-£52,500 + exceptional charity benefits
Hybrid: 1 day per week in the London office

I'm supporting a nationally recognised UK charity undergoing a major technology uplift. You will be involved in modernising their infrastructure, tightening security, and improving reliability across cloud and on-prem environments.

They're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who wants ownership, someone who enjoys digging into problems, improving systems, and shaping how infrastructure is delivered across the organisation.

You'll join a collaborative Technology Operations function, working across projects such as cloud optimisation, security hardening, monitoring improvements, and automation. Expect a role where your ideas actually get implemented.

Tech Environment

• Microsoft Azure & identity services
• M365/Intune device & endpoint management
• VMware (vSphere, vCenter)
• Backup & recovery tooling
• Networking, Firewalls, VPN, monitoring & security tooling

What You'll Be Working On

• Enhancing infrastructure reliability and security
• Improving monitoring, patching, and automation
• Supporting and optimising hybrid cloud environments
• Rolling out updates and system improvements with minimal disruption
• Working with internal teams and external partners to deliver change

What You'll Bring

• Experience across cloud + on-prem environments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft stack (Azure/M365/Intune)
• Hands-on VMware administration
• Interest in infrastructure improvement - not just keeping the lights on
• A proactive mindset - you spot problems before they become incidents
