About the Role
We build and operate large-scale GPU compute infrastructure for AI workloads in partnership with institutional capital providers and lenders. As a capital‐intensive business scaling rapidly, robust financial governance, cash discipline and operational excellence are mission‐critical. We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute VP of Accounting to join our leadership team and lead that functional area.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a pivotal role in establishing and scaling the accounting infrastructure needed to support rapid international growth and institutionalization of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role - ideal for someone who thrives in a high-growth environment, is comfortable building as well as operating, and brings a genuine passion for precision and process.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting, Compliance & Controls
- Own the preparation (team, systems, processes) and delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS (and US GAAP where applicable) - for the entire company and select joint ventures / financing structures
- Establish and maintain a robust internal controls framework, ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions in which we operates
- Establish auditing relationships / processes, internal audits, as well as regulatory compliance with UK and US public company standards (SOX, bank and operating covenants)
- Lead the external audit process, serving as the primary relationship holder with auditors
Technical Accounting
- Provide authoritative guidance on complex accounting matters including revenue recognition (IFRS 15), lease accounting (IFRS 16), and equity/stock-based compensation – as well as counterparts across US GAAP
- Assess the accounting implications of new business initiatives, joint venture structures, commercial contracts, and financing transactions
Strategy
- Collaborate with executive leadership, capital markets and strategy teams to ensure accurate and effective reporting of customer contracts, financing arrangements and joint ventures in compliance with GAAP / IFRS
- Partner with JV counterparties to ensure accurate reporting of financials / invoicing for service and licensing agreements
- Assist with cash flow and liquidity planning to ensure sufficient capitalization of the business / joint ventures
- Align on KPIs and ensure accurate and consistent reporting to senior management and partners
- Partner with tax team to ensure accurate and efficient tax planning
- Prepare company for long-term success including public company readiness
Global Operations
- Oversee accounting operations across multiple entities and geographies, including consolidation, intercompany eliminations and transfer pricing compliance
- Support the establishment of new legal entities and finance infrastructure as we enters new markets
- Lead and develop the accounting team and develop team culture
Scaling & Systems
- Build scalable processes and systems, including ERP selection/implementation, automation of financial workflows and multi‐currency consolidation (including technology, processes and improvements as required)
- Drive the continuous improvement of accounting systems, processes, and automation to support scale
About You
Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent); Big 4 background strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record in a high-growth technology, SaaS, or infrastructure business
- Deep technical accounting knowledge under IFRS; US GAAP familiarity is a plus
- Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations and a broader team across international jurisdictions

Desirable Requirements
- Experience in start-ups or scaling organisations, ideally in Series A–C environments.
- Familiarity with the GPU market and data centre operations
- Exposure to fundraising processes, investor reporting and financial due diligence.
- Familiarity with project finance, long‐term offtake contracts, or capital deployment sequencing
