Job Title: Frontend Developer
Rate: £400 (Inside IR35)
Duration: 12 Months
Clearance: BPSS
Location: 3 Days onsite in either (Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Blackpool, Glasgow or Cardiff)
Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with Back End developers, product owners, and architects to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure code quality, security, and performance through best practices and automated testing.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing systems.
- Knowledge of security, accessibility, and data protection standards.
- Ability to work in agile, multidisciplinary teams and participate in sprint reviews, demos, and collaborative planning.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Design and lead the strategies for building reusable libraries and services.
- Own the development of medium-long term strategies for product lines and the Software Engineering Community.
- Identify and support the resolution of infrastructure faults.
- Provide 3rd line support on products developed, including out of hours support as and when required.
- Contribute and set strategic direction for product team and the wider Software Engineering community.
- Collaborate & sharing of knowledge and good practice with the wider software engineering community.
- Support community discussions about best practice within Software Engineering
Skills:
- Experience developing modern Front End services using NodeJS
- Experience of developing services compliant to WCAG2.2 accessibility standards
- Experience of building services in a microservice architecture
- Experience of cloud hosting, specifically AWS
- Experience of using containerisation (specifically Docker)
- Experience of developing using TDD
- Experience of working in a agile methodology
- Desirable experience in automation (CICD)
