Must Have Government Experience
- Developed and maintained microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js, supporting high-volume digital services used by millions of UK citizens.
- Built responsive Front End components using React, HTML5, CSS3 and TypeScript, improving user experience and accessibility in line with WCAG 2.2 AA.
- Designed and implemented secure RESTful APIs, integrating with internal government systems and third-party services.
- Developed cloud-native applications on AWS, using services including Lambda, ECS, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch and RDS.
- Implemented Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, enabling repeatable deployments across multiple environments.
- Built and maintained CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins, reducing deployment time and supporting multiple production releases each sprint.
- Collaborated closely with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Designers, Business Analysts and Test Engineers within agile Scrum ceremonies to deliver user-centred features.
- Improved application performance through code optimisation, caching strategies and database tuning, reducing API response times by over 30%.
