£425 per day | 6 months | Swansea (2 Days Per Week Onsite)
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a large-scale digital transformation programme within the public sector.
This role will involve developing and enhancing modern, scalable applications using Java and Spring-based technologies within an Agile delivery environment. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that support critical public services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications
- Build and support microservices architectures
- Develop RESTful APIs and Back End services
- Collaborate with architects, developers, testers and product teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
- Produce clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Java development
- Experience with Spring Boot and the wider Spring ecosystem
- Proven experience building Microservices architectures
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
- Understanding of software design principles and best practices
- Experience working within Agile teams
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
