Java Tech Lead - Remote

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Tech Lead to join a large-scale government-focused project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across Back End development, cloud technologies, and modern engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Back End services using Java/Spring and NodeJS (Express/NextJS).

• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.

• Design and integrate with MongoDB NoSQL databases.

• Ensure code quality through TDD, robust unit testing, and clean engineering standards.

• Work across AWS cloud services, including SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, and KMS.

• Build and maintain event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.

• Develop containerised services using Docker and contribute to container orchestration strategies.

• Use Git for source control and collaborative development.

• Implement and support Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
