Overview
We are seeking a competent and experienced Lead Developer to join a delivery team operating in an agile, user-focused environment. You will play a key role in delivering reliable, secure and scalable services, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A key focus of this role is service resilience. The successful candidate will collaborate with developers, testers, product, design and operational stakeholders to make sound technical decisions that ensure services are maintainable, secure, and performant at scale, while meeting user needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development within an agile, multidisciplinary delivery team
- Contribute to the design and implementation of resilient, scalable services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery
- Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned with best practices
- Support continuous improvement of development standards and processes
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong experience with Node.js
- Experience working with PostgreSQL
- Proficient with GitHub
- Proficient with GitLab
- Strong AWS experience
- Experience with AWS Lambda
- Experience with Amazon ECS (Docker/containerisation)
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
- Comfortable working in agile environments
Desirable Skills
- Experience with GIS or geospatial data and services
